Here are a few of the things that I've collected...
"Mario Andretti - World Champion" by Nicholas Watts
The Lotus 79 of Mario Andretti leads the Brabham of John Watson and the rest of the field to record a memorable victory in the French Grand Prix. Along with Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Germany and Holland he became the undisputed World Champion. French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard, 2nd July 1978 This print is a limited edition of 500, of which I have number 51. It is signed by the artist and Mario Andretti himself. |
This Michael Turner print shows the Lotus 79s of Andretti and Ronnie Peterson in formation winning in the 1978 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. |
Monoposto Classic Team Lotus by Lotus technical illustrator John Hostler which shows all Lotus race cars from 1957 to 1990. |
The gearknob has now gone to a better home... a JPS Lotus Esprit which is getting a V8 engine! |
This is my coffee table. The rim was used in a race in 1998 on a Jordan J198, which means it was used by Damon Hill (hooray!) or Ralf Schumacher (boo, hiss!). Though I'm not sure why it has a Goodyear Eagle 'slick' tyre on it, as they were last used in the 1997 season, with 'grooved' tyres being used during 1998-2008. |
The Lotus Story Volume 4 - 1968 Onwards The Final Chapman Years DVD. Covers Team Lotus from some of its greatest successes, through a downward spiral to its ultimate end. Also includes an interview with Clive Chapman where he discusses Classic Team Lotus and how they keep the spirit of Team Lotus alive. |
If You're Not Winning... You're Not Trying DVD. An insightful 'fly on the wall' documentary following Team Lotus during the 1973 Formula One season. This collector's edition includes an introduction by Clive Chapman, a close up look of the Lotus 72 and both on-board and trackside footage of Emerson Fittipaldi in 72/5 going up the hill at Goodwood 2005. |
Lotus Goes Turbo DVD. A documentary covering Lotus' first use of a turbocharged engine from the announcement in 1982 to the running of a Renault V6 in the Lotus 93T in 1983. |
Lap Of The Gods DVD. Back before the small techonogically advanced cameras of today, Alain Boisnard mounted a 35mm film camera to Elf sponsored F1 cars of the late 1970s and 1980s. Covering cars using "ground effect" through to turbo engines you can see Mario Andretti in the Lotus 79 at Anderstorp, Nigel Mansell in the Lotus 95T at Brands Hatch, Nelson Piquet in a Lotus 100T at Detroit (nerfing the barriers) and Satoru Nakajima in a Lotus 100T at Suzuka. |
This is a set of six beermats which cover some of the JPS liveried Lotuses (although strangely not including the Lotus 72 or the Lotus 97T), which my wife thoughtfully got for me. |

These are some cufflinks I've picked up - JPS and Lotus (they're yellow/green honest!). |
John Player Team Lotus and Gold Leaf Team Lotus pins. |
John Player Team Lotus and Gold Leaf Team Lotus patches. |
A Mario Andretti Lotus 77 and Lotus 78 T-shirts, an Ayrton Senna Lotus 99T T-shirt and 'unofficial' Gold Leaf Team Lotus and John Player Team Lotus T-shirts. |
Classic Team Lotus have released a new line of merchandise featuring the logo of Colin Chapman throwing his cap in the air. I have the polo shirts for the Gold Leaf, John Player Special and Camel eras. |
New from Classic Team Lotus is a replica John Player Team Lotus pit crew shirt. A rather stunning piece of merchandise! |
My Lotus and Classic Team Lotus polo shirts, both in the ever loosely translated "British Racing Green". |
Another Classic Team Lotus item, the new BRG fleece with Colin Chapman logo on left arm. |
A JPS Formula 1 World Champions cap I picked up from Classic Team Lotus at Hethel in 2002. |
