Former Team Lotus F3 star. First drove a Lotus 56B for the Dutch GP in 1971 (after crashing a Lotus 72 in first practice, denying Dave Charlton a drive). Was dropped after a season of unconvincing drives (and no points). This is hardly suprising considering his team mate in the 1972 season was Emerson Fittipaldi who won the World Championship that year (and with it the Constructor's Championship virtually single-handedly).
