Former F5000 racer. Previously at BRM, joined Lotus for the second race in 1976 when Mario Andretti left to drive for Vel's Parnelli Jones Racing (as they did not compete in the first race of the season at Interlagos, Brazil). However two races later Andretti returned when the Parnelli team closed down.
