Other information...
Former F2, F3 driver and Formula Atlantic Champion in 1974 then became the Lotus test driver. After Jacky Ickx quit, displeased with the then six year old Lotus 72 he was promoted to race. Though only after two GPs he went back to F2 and then to America where be was moderately successful in Can-Am and then went on to run in the Indy 500 for several years. After retiring from racing he became a fishing boat captain.
